Bharat Petroleum Corp Ltd is planning to set up a bio gas plant in Bramhapuram, near Kochi in Kerala. The plant will convert 150 tonnes of bio waste into compressed biogas. The plant will only accept biowaste and generated compressed biogas will be sold through BPCL channels. A detailed project report had been prepared in October 2023.
