Goa Energy Development Agency is planning to set up a biomass briquetting plant in Saligao village in Bardez in Goa. The agency has invited expression of invitation bids to select the developer. The plant will be developed on a design, build, operate, finance, and transfer basis for ten years. The scope of work includes the setting up of a 2,000 kg/HR biomass briquetting project based on tree waste, tender coconut waste, and coconut leaves waste in Goa.
The project cost is estimated at ₹ 15 million and land for the project will be allotted by the agency.
